Buffer's free plan covers up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time. Paid plans are $5 (Essentials) or $10 (Team) per channel a month and add first comment, a hashtag manager and custom video covers. Buffer covers twelve networks. It notes that some Instagram Reels and Stories switch to a phone notification when Instagram's API cannot auto-publish them.
4. Meta Business Suite: best free tool for Facebook and Instagram together
Meta's own Business Suite is free and lets you create or schedule posts, stories and ads, read insights and reply to messages across Facebook, Messenger and Instagram. It suits a business that runs both a Page and an Instagram account.
5. Instagram's built-in scheduler: best for occasional posts
The Instagram app schedules posts and reels up to 30 days ahead for free, or up to 365 days with a Meta One Advanced, Expert or Max plan. Product tags, collaborative posts, sponsored posts and fundraisers cannot be scheduled.
